Padel Quarter Ltd (company number 16124731) is below the turnover threshold at which the Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires a statement. We publish one anyway, because the values we run the club by (Passion, Accessible, Driven, Exceptional, Local and Connected) do not stop at our own front door.
Our business
Padel Quarter operates an indoor padel club at The Admiral Park, Portsmouth: court hire, coaching, a café, a pro shop and a fitness studio. We employ our own staff and coaches directly in the UK.
Our supply chain
Our suppliers provide sports equipment and clothing, court construction and maintenance, café food and drink, cleaning, and business services such as software and payments. Most are UK-based. Sports equipment and clothing are the areas where we recognise the risk of forced labour is highest, and where we look most carefully.
What we do
- We pay our people at least the National Living Wage, directly, with written contracts, and we check that everyone we employ has the right to work in the UK.
- We buy from established suppliers and, for equipment and clothing, prefer brands that publish their own modern slavery statements and supply-chain policies.
- We will end a relationship with any supplier found to be involved in forced labour, human trafficking or exploitation and we will not use agencies that charge workers fees.
- Anyone who works with or for us can raise a concern with a director in confidence, and we will act on it.
Looking ahead
As the club grows we will keep this statement under review, extend our supplier checks and provide guidance to the staff who buy on our behalf.
